Is Intellilink Internet Satellite Internet?
No, Intellilink internet is not satellite internet. Intellilink Network is Fixed Wireless Internet.
Rather than satellites in space, we use tall structures in your community to serve as “repeater” sites for our wireless internet signal.
These repeater sites are fed with high speed internet speeds from either wireless or fiber from our existing network and then that internet is distributed to clients homes and businesses.
This allows our clients faster speeds, unlimited data, without any throttling or slowdowns.
What is Fixed Wireless Internet?
A fixed wireless network consists of an access point transceiver (typically placed on a tall structure) and another antenna the subscribers location.
Most fixed wireless networks require line of sight to function at low latency high data rates. As this reduces the amount of retransmission.
(Line of sight means there are no trees or other obstacles in the path of the radio from your subscriber antenna to the tower antenna access point.)
